POL OData calls failing

Just recently OData calls for Project Online are failing with 401 error.. the O365 Admin has turned off the following settings: LegacyAuthProtocols and CustomAppAuthentication, due to security concerns. Whilst MFA will work with CSOM , what is the recommended alternative approach to programmatically making Odata calls?? Andy guidance will be appreciated.
