Team sharepoint site file upload block

Hi,

We have a requirement where we want some set of users not to be able to upload ANY files to Teams. Be it on a chat, Team channel, Meeting chats etc. We have set up the Teams file policy to disable native file upload. This has disappeared the file upload option on Teams. But users being a member or owner of a Team, can go to Sharepoint site of corresponding team and can upload files. Previously this wasn't happening. How we can ensure users cannot even upload files to sharepoint online site as well? Please help.

    As per my knowledge I'm afraid it is impossible to restrict team member or owner not to be able to upload files to SharePoint Online site.
