Kubernetes Cluster fails to start after stopping.

"This cluster is in a failed state. If you didn't do an operation, AKS may resolve the provisioning status automatically if your cluster applications continue to run."
I tried to stop/start the cluster but it appears that it keeps failing to start back up.

Could you please let me know what error you receive when you attempt starting the AKS cluster? If you didn't save it, please open the AKS cluster in Azure Portal and go to Activity log and search for the operation there. Exploring it, you should see the error for the failed start operation.
Additionally, from Azure Portal at AKS cluster level, could you please go to Node pools and tell me the "Node count" for your node pool(s)?
Then go to "Diagnose and solve problems" at AKS level and let me know if any issue is exposed there.
