I have a customer who has an azure file share(around 300GBs) with some xlsx and PDF files over 100MB. All the users are mobile and the files take forever to open through the VPN to a mapped network drive. Is there anything I can do to speed up the access to these files while keeping the NTFS permissions enforced? I have played with the idea of onedrive for business, but it seems i can only sync files which would strip the permissions i'm trying to keep on the files. I'm thinking some kind of virtual desktop but have no real experience with them. Any input would be apreciated

    Hi

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Pls see below about virtual desktop and check the feasibility with your environment. For your requirement I would also suggest virtual desktops as they would be user friendly and easy to setup with isolated access for many users.
