filehistory | shadow copy strategy

Is it possible to configure this service so that it backs up all the files that are in the enabled list? That is, first a shadow copy would be created, and then it would make a difference (albeit at the file level) backup. Well, like under mac os (Time machine, apfs snapshots > backup to ext. one).

I looked at third party utilities. Basically, I don't even need the program to store snapshots on external media, since everything is copied to fbsd with zfs zraid anyway, via samba. And there snapshots are taken every 5 minutes, or whatever you set up. All these third party programs are very afraid of too many versions, unlike time machine/file history (they are all file-based, not sector-based).

If you just do everything with robocopy, every backup is a long comparison before synchronization. File history just relies on the database - it's fast.

I don't think you'll have to do your own bike, pulling skins in pieces from different places. The thing is necessary and for 10 years, if not more, people have created a work in progress.

With all best regards.

Dmitry.
