Okay so I tried to add 2FA to my microsoft account and It said "Verify my identity" So I did that I put the last 4 digits of my phone number ( i have removed the last 4 digits from that picture to protect my privacy) But I get no message call or all of that and I'm certain that is my phone number does anyone know what to do? (Im not sure what tags to put sorry)

I'd check in the account profile that phone number listed is correct.

This is really strange and the securty info would log me into my school account and woudnl't let me switch to a personal account I'm not sure why its doing that?
Update: I can't press edit account info and it wont work it shows the same thing and i dont get a code
Ok, well the first link above is for your personal account, while the second link is for a work / school / business account. I guess it depends on which one is causing the problem.
It is the personal account and i need to add a 2FA on it but on that 2nd picture it showed that no phonenumber is linked weridly enough even tho it shows my phone number thee
For your personal account you phone number should be listed here and to the right of the phone number it should say Your phone number is used to sign in to your Microsoft account If it does not then click on the link Sign-in preferences to add it as a valid sign in method.

I tried that and when i pressed sign in prefences it tells me to verify my identity and shows my phone number and it says my one but i get no code which is really strange?
Try using the Get Help app here to chat online with someone by clicking link
then "Windows", then underneath "home support" click on Get support in the Get Help Windows app

I did that and they told me to come here
Might check with the phone service provider in case the microsoft text source has been inadvertently blocked.
