Outlook 365 for mac SMIME broken with last update

Refer to Microsoft Case #33698343
The latest update to Outlook for Mac broke my email. I have a digital certificate associated with my account but i leave the option to sign/encrypt when I'm composing emails. Microsoft Case #33698343 handles a bug (?!) where I'm unable to sign/encrypt emails by using the "new outlook" UI ... Hence, I've unchecked all boxes in the security tab and currently not sending signed/encrypted emails. ... until late last week when, after an update ... it broke up ... now, even if I don't have any certificate associated to the account nor any box checked, Outlook tries to send the email encrypted and ... hangs ...

Any suggestions ?
