Hi, I've enabled backups in the app, and my old account which doesn't exist anymore, was selected as a recovery account for backups. How can I change it?

Click the three dots in the upper-right corner. Click 「add account」 Click 「personal account」 Log in to the account you want to be your recovery email. I want to change my live account to my gmail account. I followed above steps 1-4.

Sync accounts is now set to my gmail account but the backup account is still live.

How to change that too?

You need to delete the backup from that account and then in the option menu you will see all your personal accounts listed as options to create backup.

I added an hotmail account using this above listed procedure. The hotmail does appear in my list. When I go to the authenticator app for backup RECOVERY ACCOUNT or "cloud account" I see the original email. How to fix this email or did I do the steps above incorrectly please? The authenticator app is sending updates to an original email but I want to change it out to a newer email.

I open teh autheticator app

I click on the 3 dots

There is no menu choice [add account]

android device.

the menu options are check announcements; rearrage accounts; hide codes, security announcements; settings; help; feed back.

in the settings menu there is also nothing that looks like add account.

so how can I change the backup account?
