If disk contains non-ASCHII name formatting/crypto erasing this drive throwing exception

Getting the exception in RPC application, when trying to format a drive which has non-ASCHII chars. NdrClientCall2() throwing exception "0xE06D7363: Microsoft C++ Exception" System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException. Not sure how to fix this.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Is the exception thrown when calling the function locally? Could you please show a minimal, reproducible sample without private information?
