Hello,

I installed an app yesterday. I run it and it was working fine. Today, when I tried to run the app, it says access is denied. I am using Windows 11. The program size now is 0 kb as well.

I tried many possible solutions:

  • Run as administrator.
  • Change compabilility mode.
  • Full virus scan using Microsoft defender.
  • Reduce user account control settings.
  • Change admin approval mode for a built-in administrator account in local security settings.
  • Edited 'Local Security Policy' and Enabled the following two items.
    1. Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > "User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-In Administrator account"
    2. Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > "User Account Control: Run all Administrators in Admin Approval Mode"
  • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
  • Move to Start > Settings > Update & security. Click on For developers in the left panel, check Developer mode option under the  Use developer features section.
  • Create a new admin account.

The app installed is [darknet] framework (open source library I compiled on Visual Studio).

Nothing worked for me. Can you please help me with this?

you need a file recovery tool

Windows file recovery is available in the app store and is free, downside is it is a CMD tool so if you arn't good with command line it is difficult to use.

other option is to delete the 0 byte file and try to download again
