We have a problem scanning BigQuery in Microsoft Purview.

All settings are done according to the documentation. But after starting the scan, an error appears: "Error: (3805) Connector Exception: Cannot access any schema in the database.".

The BigQuery service account is allowed access to the project as owner.

Please, advise in what there can be a problem?

I added a service account to BigQuery and gave access to the project.
Read-only access to all schemas in one of our projects. Also I gave the owner access to one schema.

    bigquery

I found the reason for the failed BigQuery scan.

Currently, Microsoft Purview only supports scanning Google BigQuery datasets in US multi-regional location. If the specified dataset is in other location e.g. us-east1 or EU, you will observe scan completes but no assets shown up in Microsoft Purview.

After changing the region in the schema, I re-ran the Purview scan. As a result, I got the entities in the data catalog.

Hi, please post some screenshots of your scan configuration screen. Without that it will be tough to comment on the issue.
