Azure portal login page stuck on more information required

Question

I am unable to log into Azure Portal. When I try and log in, I get the below message that more information is required. However, when I click next the screen hangs and does nothing. I have tried clearing my browser cache, using different browsers, and even using different devices. All attempts lead to the More Information Required screen, and the login process stalling out.

How can I log into Azure Portal?

Hi Will,

Please have a tenant administrator go to MFA settings and select Require selected users to provide contact methods again for your account.

Thank you for your post and I apologize for the delayed response!

I looked into the Correlation ID and Timestamp that you provided and was able to see the AADSTS50074 - Strong authentication is required and the user did not pass the MFA challenge, error message.

It looks like your Azure AD tenant has Security Defaults enabled which is causing this issue.

• If you're unable to login to your Azure AD tenant via your browser, can you see if leveraging PowerShell to update your authentication methods works?
• If you're still having issues, do you have any other users that're able to login?
