Lock to our hardware

We occasionally send our images to customers so they can reimage a corrupt machine. these Images have the LTSC License key pre-installed.

We are concerned that the Image has a possibility of being installed on any other computer and the legal ramifications of this.

As a hardware manufacturer, all our boards have our company information stored in the DMI, is there a way to have the installer check the DMI info and only install on our motherboards?

    Hello there,

Installing a custom image using Windows Setup has some limitations and this might be one of them. We have the option to Ensure that the hardware can support Windows but cannot stick the Image to specific hardware as far as I know.

Maybe once installed you can use GPO to Manage Device Installation with Group Policy. This guide summarizes the device installation process and demonstrates several techniques for controlling device installation by using Group Policy.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
