I am unable to select 'can edit' when attempting to share a folder or document with "Anyone with the link".

GrayedOut

Likewise, I receive an error "The operation failed because sharing has been disabled on this site." when attempting to create a similar link in Power Automate.

The "Anyone with the link 'can edit'" option in SharePoint allows users to share a link to a document or folder with others and give them the ability to edit the contents. If this option is greyed out, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

    1. Permissions: The user may not have the necessary permissions to share the document or folder with edit permissions. They may need to be a site owner or have the appropriate permissions assigned by the site administrator.
    2. Sharing settings: The SharePoint site or library may have sharing settings that do not allow the option to share with edit permissions. Check with the site administrator to see if this is the case.
    3. Restrictions on external sharing: The SharePoint tenant may have external sharing restrictions in place that prevent this option from being available. Check with the tenant administrator to see if this is the case.
    4. OneDrive sharing settings: If the document or folder is located in the user's OneDrive, the user's OneDrive sharing settings may need to be configured to allow editing.
    5. File type restrictions: Some file types may have restrictions that prevent them from being shared with edit permissions.
    6. The document or folder may be located in a read-only library.

May I know if all SharePoint document libraries in this site collection have the same problem?

May I know if all SharePoint sites have the same problem?

May I know if the other colleagues have the same problem?

Please make all files in this folder are checked in and published.
