    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to prevent users to save files on Desktop.

You can certainly achieve using Group policy

    1. Open GPMC.msc go to Computer Configuration > Policy > Windows Settings > Security Settings > File System
    2. Right click and add %userprofile%\Desktop .or the different folders that you want to restrict access to.
    3. Specify the rights for the specified folder(s) for users or user groups.

It doesn't work, at least not for users' folders. The error I get by doing this is:

    ----Configure File Security...
    	Configure c:\test.
    	Configure c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop.
Warning 2: The system cannot find the file specified.
     	Error setting security on c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop.

File Security configuration was completed successfully.

    SoAny help appreciated.
