How can I contact the support to enable this feature without paying for a support plan? Shouldn't it be a feature flag to be enabled?

Hi, @Rhuan Barreto Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum, Thanks for posting your question.

I understand your query is related to the Mongo API error message on the partial index support feature enabling, correct me if my understanding is wrong.

We apologize for the confusion that has been created as the error message is a bit misleading, but currently, Partial indexes are not supported in the Mongo API releases. This is a feature that used to be released on the latest version of the API ( 4.2 ) but has been in the meantime regressed back to non-availability for the time being ( it is the reason why the messaging was not removed yet ) . Our Product Group team is working on releasing it again somewhere this year either through an upgrade or a new version release of the API but for the time being we do not have more information on an exact release date.

This is covered in our documentation here as well : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cosmos-db/mongodb/feature-support-42#index-properties

Hope this information helps. Please let us know if any further queries.

    Regards

    Geetha
