Water killed my hp laptop. Took SSD drive and put in a box and hooked up to get my information. Says I need a bit locker recover code?

My wife spilled water on her laptop and fried the main board. I pulled the SSD out and put it into an M2 box hoping to get the info (as a thumb drive). It is asking for a bit locker recovery ID. Any suggestions or am I SOL?

    If you haven't installed bitlocker before but still it is asking for recovery key repeatedly then I think you need a clean install.
