When I open Visual studio 2022 Pro there is a process that starts and takes more than an hour, "Analyzing database schema...."
I have seen an old similar thread that suggested this :
I tried but it does not make any difference.
My Project is a Database Project and References another DB Project like this
During this process of Analysing I can not Build a Dacpac.
Is there a way to avoid that process or Shrink the time of execution ?

Please update your VS 2022 to the latest version and delete .vs, bin and obj folders in your project folder.

I do have have the latest VS 2022 version and new Projects. Still takes at least an hour to run "Analyzing database schema...."

Ignacio Jose 0 Reputation points2024-09-26T06:26:12.2333333+00:00 I have recently had the same issue where Visual Studio Schema Compare took between 45 and 60+ minutes to complete. The project database has thousands of database objects.
I've resolved this by installing the free SQL Server Developer edition on the same computer where I am running Visual Studio. After restoring the source database to the local computer's default instance and using the restored database as the source on my schema compare setup it completed within 8 minutes the first time, then 4 minutes the second and 2 minutes the third time.
