Is there a way to preserve the original file timestamp when applying sesnistity labels using the AIP client. Thanks

last modified is when i applied label and thats when time stamp is changed. When you apply a Label, it "wraps" the file in metadata which tells the client things like which Tenant to look for authentication, etc so it will show the Label as modifying it last.
