I have the same problem too.

Hi,
I'm having an error when I install Microsoft SQL Server on my Windows 11 Virtual Machine.
Unable to install SQL Server (setup.exe) Exit code (Decimal). -2147467259. Error description: Unknown error (0xe0000235). Hope you can help.

Erland Sommarskog 101.9K Reputation points MVP2023-01-24T22:24:23.4766667+00:00 In the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\150\Setup Bootstrap\Log, you find one folder per installation attempt. The files of most interest are summary.txt and detail.txt. Note that the number depends on which version of SQL Server you are installing. 150 is SQL 2019. For SQL 2022, it is 160.
Is this a virtual machine on your own physical machine, or is it an Azure VM in the cloud?

But read my comment above for tips on information to include. It may also be useful to tell us what sort of machine you have (including the host for the VM).

Although, in your case, your prospects are bleak, since SQL Server is not supported on ARM. You may want to try Azure SQL Edge. Although, I see a post where someone claimed he had been able to install LocalDB on Parlallels.
No, I don't have the links around, but you can google around.
