Azure Virtual Desktop with guest user

Question

Hi all,

When I log in as a guest user, I am unable to access the web client. I tried giving my test user the Owner permission for the resource group, but I still can't see anything and the system shows an error message

"It looks like your system administrator hasn’t set up any resources for <my email> yet. Please choose a different account or try again. If you believe you have received this message in error, please contact your system administrator.".

I don't know what to do. Can you please give me some advice?

Hi Pongsatorn , Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.
This error could be thrown due to multiple reasons.
Please check if any of these applies to your scenario and let me know the results:

• Is the AVD app group registered to a workspace? Is the user in the same AAD as the AVD app group? Make sure that you assign a ‘workspace’ against your application group(app group).
• Does the user have valid License?
• This can also happen due to the default tenant being picked. Please check that you have the correct tenant selected in the default tenant settings for your azure subscription.
• Azure Virtual Desktop currently doesn't support external identities. The user account Identity must exist in the domain to log into AVD.

• Currently, guest users can not sign in to an Azure AD joined device. Have local AD users to log into the AVD environment.

• If your still having issues, ensure that your session hosts don't have Drain Mode turned on as this can result in the same error message, as reported by a customer.
