Teams license for users question

When a user is given O365 license, is teams automatically enabled? Are there needed steps for new users after this change?

    It's automatically enabled, yes. You might however consider adding the user to some company- or department-wide teams, or configure additional settings such as assign a phone number if needed, etc. Regardless, once you assign a license, he will be able to access the Teams client and communicate with users therein.

    By default, when a licensing plan (for example, Microsoft 365 Enterprise E3 or Microsoft 365 Business Premium) is assigned to a user, a Teams license is automatically assigned, the user is enabled for Teams. For more details, please refer to this article:
