    you would need to uncover the reason for the reboot. in case of the windows VM, you could look at application event logs for stop errors.

    you could also use the diagnostics built into azure to find what caused the unexpected reboot

    You can use the Diagnose and Solve blade on the VM blade. if that uncovers nothing and you still need to troubleshoot more, then enable memory dump and you could use windbg to point to the drivers that cuase the stop error
