Office Deployment Tool Hangs on "Uninstallcentennial" task for 10 minutes

We updated our copy of the Office Deployment tool from 16.0.14931.20118 to 16.0.15928.20196 (about a year newer), and using the same configuration xml file to install Office 365, we're experiencing a problem where the installer hangs for around 10 minutes.

It seems the main error message seems to be: "Failed to use PowerShell deprovision Appx package".

We've rolled back to the old version we were using before, but obviously would like to figure out why this isn't working properly any more.

    Please make sure you are using the latest versio of ODT.

    I also suggest you choose one test machine, uninstall Office first, then install Office from "\server\path\Office365".
