unable to play a workshop cd on windows 11 works on windows 10

Question

I have a windows 7 workshop cd which works on my old windows 10 laptop not as well as it did 10 months ago, (probably due to a windows update), however it still works.

I have now a new laptop and it tells me the manual has loaded but it will not open. Ideas please. It was designed to run on windows 7 0n internet explorer 5.5 or higher. and acrobat reader. sorry I am not a computer tech so will need basic guidance.

There can be some compatibility issues with content of your CD.

Disable any Antivirus program or Windows firewall you may have for temporary purpose.

Please try to copy all content of CD on your Local driver and then try to run the workshop program.
