physical server cannot be added to a team PCI-E nıc card

Question

hello everyone

server hp gen 10v2 it has a LOM onborad 10g nic card and extra PCI-E 10g cards installed on PCI slot

but we can not add PCI-E cards in a team we get this mesages "cannot be added to a team"

normally we could added to team LOM and PCI-E cards.

but latest 2 sevrers has show this masages for w2k22

You can try something like this:

1. Uninstall the PCI-E NIC card in the device manager, then restart the server, let it recognize the network card again, it will be reinstalled with a different ID, and then try to add it to the team.
2. Corrupted WMI may also cause this problem, try re-registering WMI using the script provided by MS

Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to NIC cannot be added into Teams.

1. Try Uninstall NIC card drivers and install it again to Rename Network card to different name.
2. Disable any Antivirus program or Windows firewall you may have for temporary purpose.
3. Try to Remove any binding Virtual switch with this Team interface.
