Hello,

We need to migrate users from an AD domain (ABC.local) to a new tenant in M365 (XYZ.com). User accounts in M365 domain have been created. The plan is to migrate laptops belonging to the users to Intune in new domain.

How do we migrate user profiles (Desktop shortcuts, local files, browser shortcuts, etc.) belonging to the source domain to profile that will be created once the user logs on to the laptop after migration, with XYZ.com credentials?

---Update---

Tried configuring users in ABC.local with roaming profiles. plan is to copy the folders that contain roaming profiles to OneDrive. Then to use these folders to copy the profile after migration. Initial tests have not been successful so far. There are 2 main issues with this:

  1. permissions set by AD on the folders where roaming profiles are saved don'tallow automated migration agents to read contents.
  2. Location is OneDrive where the profiles will be copied doesn't have a link that can be easily used as profile location in XYZ.com domain.
