When setting up Cross-Tenant synchronization. Once you have created a configuration, there is no way to rename or delete it.

this is regarding Cross-Tenant Synchronization from Azure AD to Azure AD not on-Prem.

    @Christian Redgewell Thank you for reaching out to us. As I understand you want to delete this configuration (below screenshot), I don't see the option.

    User's image

    On further checking/investigating the audit logs of this activity, noticed this configuration is created as ApplicationManagement category

    User's image

    Navigated to the Enterprise Applications blade within Azure AD, noticed application with similar name is listed, by going to properties blade renamed the application with the desired name

    User's image

    Same information is updated in the cross tenant sync section.

    Similar way, you can delete the application from the Enterprise apps section and cross tenant sync configuration will be deleted.

    Let me know if you this answers your query, if you have any further questions, feel free to post back.

    @Christian Redgewell

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.

    Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Connect sync can be used to make changes to the default configuration. It provides steps for some common scenarios. With this knowledge, you should be able to make simple changes to your own configuration based on your own business rules.

    Please refer to Synchronization Rules Editor

    The Synchronization Rules Editor is used to see and change the default configuration. You can find it on the Start menu under the Azure AD Connect group.
