Why is WSUS not giving notifications and forcing users to restart their computers to complete updates?

Hi All,

I will attach our GPO config for WSUS. We miss some config to get notifications and push users to restart their computers.

I can see all the computers in WSUS, but they are not getting any notifications for updates and restart. Sometimes, we have to update manually to get the updates from the server. Please consider our configuration below and let me know your thoughts.

    Hi

I see only one error in your GPO, the intranet statistic server should have :8530 in the URL like the other entry for the WSUS server.

In the Windows Update windows you could check to make sure your computer get all the settings, as else your settings seem ok.

Please read through my 8 part blog series on How to Setup, Manage, and Maintain WSUS.

    https://www.ajtek.ca/wsus/how-to-setup-manage-and-maintain-wsus-part-4-creating-your-gpos-for-an-inheritance-setup/

Part 4 deals with the GPO policies and part 5 deals with applying the policies for an inheritance setup. I recommend reading the entire series. If you set it up the way I lay out, you will have an easy experience with updates.
