Hi,

I created a rule if the subject includes Montreal so the email needs to go to Folder 1.

in some cases, the subject comes with Montreal-000 and doesn't go to Folder 1 because of "-"

I tried to create the rules for: Montreal* and it didn't work.

How can we create a rule for subjects has Montreal, Montreal-, or Montreal2 to go to Folder 1?

I used the Rules Wizard with the properties shown in the screenshot, Home tab > Rules > Manage Rules & Alerts... > New Rule...

    Hi @Abeer ,

In order to verify, what detailed version of Outlook are you using (File > Office Account > Outlook)? Please make the version of Outlook up to date. (File > Office Account > Update Options >Update Now)

Considering this case, it is recommended that you use the troubleshooting below:

    1. Sometimes add-ins can conflict with Outlook, please run Outlook in safe mode and disable add-ins.
    2. Besides, delete the old profile and create a new profile from control panel, and re-add your account to see if the issue continues: Go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add and re-add your account.
    3. If the issue resists, consider deleting the rules and then create and edit rules only in OWA (Outlook Web App)
