Azure Virtual Desktop always creates a printjob on startup

Dear All,

I have a strange behavior on my Azure Virtual Desktop. Each time a user log into the virtual machine a print job is started and a 0 kb sized PDF file is downloaded. Does anyone have an idea what the reason could be?

Thanks a lot

David

    Hi David,

If you don;t need printers in AVD you could try disable printers redirection.

We see you have down voted the previous answer as it hasn't helped you with this issue. In the attempt to help you here, I have reviewed your question.
This is an odd behavior. Is the print job started from within the Session, or locally on the endpoint?
To me, it seem like there is some sort of auto-start activity registered for the user or all users. You would need to check the system for that. Eg using Autoruns or if you have a logon script running that is causing it.
