Some people can't open and edit identically shared excel Spreadsheet

Hi, I have an identically copied Spreadsheet that is shared with a number of individuals, for individual editing. Some people can't open the shared item when they press OPEN. I try opening, on a personal email address, and it works perfectly, but they are asked to sign in. When they use their registered email it opens the sheet but they can't edit. All of the settings on each sheet are identical and correct for editing.

What is the reason for this and how can this issue be solved

some clarification questions:

• are you sharing from your onedrive?
• all the individuals are external users? could you try with open sharing taht can access only who knows the link?

where the file is located? your onedrive?

are the other users external people of your org?

did you try to share the file without permissions (public accesss) to only who knows the link?
