1) Delete Unwanted Programs & URLs:
PC Users:
- You just go to Control panel -> click Uninstall a program under Programs.
- Look over the list of programs that are installed on your system.
- If you find any unwanted programs, you just uninstall it.
- Locate the shortcut of your browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.
- Then, you have to right-click on the browser and open its Properties.
- In the Shortcut tab, if you see any unwanted URLs in the Target field, you have to delete it.
MAC Users:
- You just go to Go -> Applications and examine the list of programs, if you locate any unwanted programs, right-click on it and move it to Trash.
- At last, you have to clean your browser to get rid of suspicious threats. # 2) Reset your Browser to Default Settings:
Google Chrome:
- Open your Google Chrome browser. You have to click on three-dot at the top right corner and navigate to More tools -> Extensions.
- If you locate any unwanted extensions, you just click on the Remove button.
- Now, again you have to go to the menu and choose Settings.
- On the left side, you have to click on startup option and then select Open a specific page or set of pages -> Use current pages.
- Here, you can choose the suspicious web pages and remove them.
- Click on Add a new page and enter a URL that you want to set as your homepage.
- Then, go to the Settings again, scroll down and click Advanced -> Reset and clean up.
- Then, you have to click Restore settings to their defaults.
- Finally, you have to click Reset settings to confirm your choice.
