How does deduplication unoptimization process affect real-time access to shares?
Hello,
We will need to do unoptimization process on a dedup enabled volume on Windows Server 2019 in order to completley disable deduplication and solve some issues.
We are planning to go to the complete process that involves unoptimization, garbage collection and finally removal of this feature.

Information that I couldn't find anywhere is how safe is unoptimization process?
Cause this volume is used for a share that uses a lot of people, opening docx, xlsx, pdf and other documents, working with them (reading, saving ...), is this process running in background as safe process?
Can users use this share normally when this job runs and how likely is that there will bi issues with file corruption?
I assume that there should be no problems because dedup already has it's scheduled jobs running in background but I wanted to check.
