Telemetry link in Azure alert email does not work

We have Azure monitor setup to send us emails when there are exceptions in some of our services using Application Insights. It is noted that the telemetry link in these email alerts that takes us to Application Insights are not working. On clicking the link we could observe that the app insights transaction search window is loading forever with 3 dots on screen. This does not occur when we manually key in the filters and run. On clicking refresh at top, the screen loads almost instantly.

What could be the issue here ?

@Krishnadas K P_FT thank you for bringing it here. This could be related to the browser cache/cookies preventing the load of URL, OR probably a security filter (link scanner) trying to scan the URL when clicked from mail. The following steps might help narrow it down:

Does it always happen with any link that you click in your mail?

Are all the people in your team facing this issue (only with links in alert)?

What happens when you copy the link from the mail and try to browse it in browser (instead of clicking it?).

try clearing the browser cache or using another browser and see if that helps.

depending on the replies/area of the issue, this might require to be investigated from the browser side OR from the Azure Portal side.
