I am trying to set up my personal Microsoft account on Microsoft Authenticator but when I go through the steps it takes me to a verification option page. One of which is use Authenticator which is stupid because you can’t, because you are in the Authenticator app. Second is even more stupid as it is “use a code “ which is also supposed to come from the Authenticator app which you can’t use because you are in the app. Third option is to use an email address and in my case for some reason it is my old company’s email address that doesn’t exist anymore.

Well, I am only glad this question is here because of the severe stupidity of the situation. The Authenticator app asks you to verify a code IN the authenticator app. Gone around in circles on this several times. Then I try other ways, then it says my account will be suspended for 30 days until they can figure it out???

I am in hopes one of the experts can help us through this, what feels like, a moronic cycle.
