WSUS - Update installation failed.

Question

I'm using the WSUS service to update all the company's equipment (gradual update, no version jumps, etc).

Recently, computers were in the version of the print below.

And on WSUS I released the installation of the following update.

But the update fails to install on some computers (~20 out of 1200).

I have already removed the external antivirus and any other program that could interfere with the update, I have already disabled any non-Microsoft service that could start with the computer. But the installation failure persists.

How can I try to find out what really causes the update to fail?

In the powershell, through the Get-WindowsUpdateLog command I get the following file -> WindowsUpdate.log

Do you got a proxy or the good DNS's configured for those machines ? as the call there fail; http://srvwsus.hfcp.corp:8530/ClientWebService/client.asmx

If you try to open that via Chrome or Edge, does it can open, or you got a proxy, dns error ?

I've linked to Part 3 which covers WaaS, but each builds on the previous part, so I'd suggest reading the whole series. It looks to me like you're using Server 2012 for WSUS... which had some unique characteristics that needed to be added/adjusted for WaaS to work out.

Due to the small fraction of systems affected you can expect that the issue or specific error may be different in some, but surely related with a corrupted Windows Update database or system corruption.

Please try the next in some of the affected machines as it will surely fix it:
