Hello,
I keep receiving InternalServerError when scaling down a Postgresql Flexible Server instance (cross tier).
The error message isn't very helpful:
An unexpected error occured while processing the request. Tracking ID: '4b21b6aa-6eaf-4f14-8477-cee59b9b7486'
I tried both Azure Portal and Azure CLI and retried many times last 18 hours.
I noticed there was an issue in West US region yesterday, but our instance is in West Europe and the original issue appears to be resolved now.
Any help please? Thanks a lot.

You can scale from General Purpose to Memory Optimized and vice-versa. Changing to and from the Basic tier after server creation is not supported.
Can you please share more information on your scenario so I can better assist you.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I would like to scale down from Standard D2s v3 to Standard B2s. The link to the documentation you have provided is unfortunately for Single Server, while we use Flexible Server. According to the documentation of Flexible Server, it isn't possible to scale down storage but nothing is said about tiers.
It is also a valid operation in Azure Portal.

@Michael Le Thanks for providing additional information, as per your scenario yes you should be able to scale. probably there might be some other issue where it needs deeper investigation, I would recommend raising a support case on this to check the logs.

Thanks again. We unfortunately don't have a support plan. I believe this is not a technical problem with the service per se, but with the resource management. Are you please aware of any other option to report this, other than raising a technical support ticket and therefore upgrading to a support plan?
