Hy!

I have a local AD environment and also have Azure AD. Our corporate will buy 100 laptops. We would like to enroll these laptops to intune, and also join to azure AD and local AD. I think this mode is Hybrid Azure AD joined. I looked for the Autopilot mode. We would like to spend little time with administration. Is the Autopilot technology suitable for this?

Our plan to the user get the new laptop, and during the personalization give theri UPN and this step connect to local AD and MDM. Do I need Intune Connector?

Thanks.

You do need Intune Connector if you want to create Autopilot supporting Hybrid AAD devices. Think very carefully, do you need new computers being hybrid. In these cases I typically advice to keep existing AD member devices hybrid without need to re-install but new computers or OS re-installation would create them as AAD only.

Autopilot is perfect if you purchace your PC devices from re-seller who support Autopilot. With existing devices or new non-controlled (purchace) devices, you will need figure out device hash import manually.
