My version of VS is not able to open the file. What do I need to do?

I am facing a problem with VS 2019. I am opening the project and the project shows a modal dialog that says "Opening the file".

This dialog box is forever there. I terminated the VisualStudio process after 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and 120 minutes. I am unable to work on the project.

Is there any cache that needs to be cleared or something else that can take care of this?

    what is your project type? And how did you open the project? Can you successfully create a new project with VS2019?

    Please restart your computer, then, launch your VS2019 and select Open a project or solution on the start window. You can browse to your project and select it to open the project.

    Besides, you can check if you have anti-virus software or other third-party processes enabled. If so, please temporarily disable them in task manager.
