Project Web App cross-project links not updating until project is opened

Question

I have setup the Project Web application (PWA) environment and have multiple projects uploaded in the project center. I am using Power Bi as my data visualization tool. I need to set cross-project links for certain tasks, and I am able to set the links but the issue is that when a linked task date changes, the successor (in a different linked project task) doesn't update until I open the project the successor is located. This impacts my Power Bi reports as they don't update until I open the successor project. I've tried creating master projects or simply linking 2 distinct projects (not in master project)

is there something I can do (setting, etc.) that would cause the successor task in a different project to update automatically without the need to open the project?
