  1. in Azure Synapse how do I impose storage limit for either a database user or its associated schema (containing all tables)?
  2. Related to this, lets say the user has alter/create table access to another schema, is it possible to still impose size limit to the user OR there is only schema size limit?

    Hi @HSever ,

I have double checked with product team and can confirm that there is no such feature to impose size restrictions on particular schema level. As Nandan Hegde called out you can do implementing custom alert mechanism before reaching the target size or may be try to build a report to monitor the size.
By the way, could you please elaborate a bit on your use case and business justification for this requirement so that I can discuss with internal team and provide feedback as appropriate.

If the above information from Nandan Hegde was helpful and answers your query, please consider clicking Accept Answer and Yes for "was this answer helpful", as it might be beneficial to other community members reading this thread.

    Thank you

    Hey,

Based on my understanding, there is no such feature to impose size restrictions on a particular schema.

you can create a custom alert for your self to alert whenever a objects (sum) within a schema are closing near the target size.
