Windows 11 Always Turn On PC by Itself

I have just fresh installed Windows 11 on my PC several weeks back. It's frustrating that somehow Windows 11 always turn on my PC at 12:00 AM every day. I've followed many advise on how disable this, including:

  1. Turn off fast boot in BIOS
  2. Disable the "allow wake computer" options in Device Manager
  3. Disable the "Allow Wake Timers" in Power Options in Control Panel
  4. Ensure that power button does shut down and not sleep
  5. Disable Wake-on-LAN option in Power Management
  6. Uncheck "Automatic Restart" in "Startup and Recovery" window
  7. Verified that "powercfg –devicequery wake_armed" command does not show any device that can wake up Windows
  8. Verify that no task in "Task Scheduler" has any trigger to turn on PC at 12:00 AM

But oddly, my PC always turn on by itself at 12:00 AM every day until now! Surely there's no ghost, because it does not turn on when I unplug the power cable. So what other setting in Windows 11 cause this?

I've never experience this situation when using Windows 7 in the exact same PC hardware.

    After lengthy debate with MSI and several trial error, it turns out the root cause is from the MSI BIOS. Their latest BIOS update for X299 CREATION motherboard has some malicious code which turn on PC at 12 AM every day. They won't explicitly admit it, but only implicitly mentioned it. It is solved by using older BIOS version or by installing Intel Management Engine.
