Hi Guys,

I have a couple of questions regarding the content database size limits in SharePoint 2013

The supported limit is 200 Gb.

1) Does it mean the mdf file size limit is 200 GB or overall database ( mdf + ldf ) size is 200 GB.

2) Is the supported hard limit up to 4 TB?

    To answer your questions:

    1. 200 GB is the supported limit for overall content database size (mdf & ldf files).
Here is a related post with discussion for your reference: Can we shrink SharePoint content Database (Specially .MDF ).
    2. 4 TB per content database is a supported limit for content database size (all usage scenarios) only when certain requirements are met in the environment. In addition, if the content database is used in document archive scenarios, there will be no explicit content database limit but also with prerequisites.
Please refer to the document here for detailed information: Software boundaries and limits for SharePoint 2013 - Content database limits.
