Can we receive security updates for SharePoint 2013 after end-of-support (11/4-2023)?

Hello

On your website you write that SharePoint 2013 follows the Fixed Lifecycle Policy. This policy states that security updates are available through the Extended Security Update Program.

When I click on Extended Security Update Program I get a list of all products this includes. I cannot find SharePoint 2013 on this list.

My question is: Can we receive security updates for SharePoint 2013 after end-of-support (11/4-2023)?

    Hi @NIEB (Nicolai Errebo Birch)

In the three articles you provided above, I notice that SharePoint Server 2013 is not included in the Extended Security Update (ESU) programs:

The Extended Security Update (ESU) program is a last resort option for customers who need to run certain legacy Microsoft products past the end of support. It includes Critical* and/or Important* security updates for a maximum of three years after the product's End of Extended Support date.

Actually, we need only view this article to know the end date:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/sharepoint-server-2013

As it is described in it, Mainstream End Date is Apr 10, 2018, Extended End Date is Apr 11, 2023.

We could not receive security updates for SharePoint 2013 after end-of-support (11/4-2023).

    Hi Yi Lu_MSFT,

    Thank you for your reply.

Is there any standard or normal procedure related to when you usually run a security update after one of your products goes end-of-support? For example, is there usually a security update already some months after end-of-support?
