Task Sequence fails on OS

Question

I am working with Windows server 2019, ADK version 2004 and the latest MDT application.

When I want to deploy a machine in Hyper-V I get the following error:

I have tried the following things to solve the issue:

• Reinstalled the Server OS
• Reinstalled ADK and MDT
• Removed the Windows 10 OS inside MDT and added a fresh one, also tried with a different OS version
• Created a new deploymentshare

Of the above actions nothing worked for me, please help

Problem/Symptom:

Windows server 2019, ADK version 2004 and the latest MDT

When deploy OS for a machine, get the error:

FAILURE(5624): 1450: Run DISM: ...

Litetouch deployment failed, return code = -2147467259 0x80004005

Failed to run the action: Install Operation System.

Solution/Workaround:

It was solved by implementing MECM.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

There is a known issue, windows 10 deployments using the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) build 8456 fails when used with the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) for Windows 10, version 2004.

You may follow below article to download MDT_KB4564442.exe and replace the original files, remember to Update Deployment Share and choosing to completely regenerate the boot image. And update the boot image in WDS if you use WDS.

I solved it by implementing MECM. MDT gives to many issues lately.
