High transaction count on non-existent blob storage and unexpectedly high monthly price

I have an azure storage account with a couple of tables. Total data stored is less than 5mB.

However for some reason, this resource costs more than 1250dkk/month (~180 usd)

Looking at the metrics I can see that the storage account is experiencing roughly 20k transactions pr 5 minutes, but almost solely on blobs, not tables.

We don't have any blob containers on this storage account...

Even if we did have blob containers, and they did experience 20k transactions pr 5 minutes. That would extrapolate to roughly 200 million transactions pr month, which, according to the azure price calculator, would cost around 7 usd/month. NOT 180 usd.

I'm the owner of the account. I've tried added myself as contributor to the resource, to no difference. My colleagues who use this resource, do not recognize any activity on blob containers.

What am I missing here?

@Mikal Jensen Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

It's possible that there are additional costs associated with your storage account, such as data transfer or data egress.

Please verify the approximate cost by using this link- https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/storage/tables/

You can also use the Azure Cost Management service to view detailed cost breakdowns for your storage account and identify any unexpected costs. https://azure.com/cost-management

However, I would suggest that you reach out to Azure Billing Support which is free for billing related issues- https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/ or contact support- https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

Hope this helps. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do let us know and we will be glad to assist further. Thank you!
