You can change the pc name from Control Panel\System advanced properties.
you can change the pc's network address from Control Panel\Network adapter properties page.

I change network adapter hardware constantly? Network adapter configuration does not seem to change the address when I do ping in command prompt for computer name or localhost

How to update? Nope still same issue, I want my computer name to respond to loopback or localhost numerical address
