Why does zindex crash the release version but not debug?

Is this a bug being worked on? If I have any zindex in my XAML, the app will just crash away when trying to run in release mode, but when run in debug mode it works fine? Is there something I am missing in compile options to make it work?

You mean VisualElement.ZIndex Property, right? How did you use this property in XAML, would you mind sharing some codes snippets with me? May I ask on which platform do you meet this issue? And could you share the detailed environment information with me, such as .NET version, VS version, OS version and so on? In addition, could you share the detailed crash log with me? Just add this to anything ZIndex="1", like a frame and as soon as you try loading a contentpage, crash.

If it is on your main page, then right after you get the app splash screen, crash.

This is on vs2022, .net 6 and Android, 11 and 12.

Nope, tried switching to .net 7 and still have the same issue.

Do you archive an Android app package, then install this release package into your Android 11/12 physical device?

Yes, I copy the apk and install it on the device. .Net7 did not make a difference.

Zindex currently has some reflection issues in XAML that should be the cause of this issue. Please refer to Make VisualElement.ZIndexProperty BP public #8184, and try this workaround.

Yes, doing it by code does work. The bug page says it will be fixed in .net 7, however when I switched to .net 7, it still does not work via XAML.
