Hello there,

After the expiration of the trial period, the system starts asking for activation and shuts down every hour.

Look for events in the System- and/or Application-logs, there should be a description/comment.

Evaluation copies have to connect to Microsoft to activate. If they do not connect, they work for 10 days before expiring. You can rearm it for another 10 days three times.

slmgr.vbs -rearm

But, if you can get connected to the internet, it will activate for 180 days. Then each rearm will add another 30 days.
